As a non-profit hospital deeply committed to the health of our community, the mission of Bozeman Deaconess Hospital is to improve community health and quality of life. One example of our mission is our dedication to community benefit; that is, providing financial assistance to patients needing, but unable to afford, medically necessary health care services.
Bozeman Deaconess sees a loss of more than $5 million annually from uncompensated care and Medicare, which represents an indirect contribution to the health of our community.
We are proud of our contributions that benefit our community. For Bozeman Deaconess Health Services (BDHS), the total Community Benefit provided in 2006 was over $7 million as reported per Catholic Health Association/VHA guidelines and standards.
